As you can tell from our mission statement we are a young exciting and dynamic theatre company. Who believe that theatre and drama and performance used in the correct manner can help change and shape young people lives.

Our business’s main goals and objects are these. We want theatre to be accessible to all those young people who want it wherever they may reside. We want our theatre to be situation specific and be dynamic in its content and style. We want to help disaffected young people understand their decisions through interactive theatre. We also wish to be the leading supplier of theatre to educational and youth projects in South West Wales, eventually growing to encompass the rest of Wales and eventually the U.K.

Business Philosophy: Our philosophy is simple. We want to help people experience the joys and therapeutic values of theatre. We believe that for young people to make good choices they must be informed and more importantly understand those choices. Theatre goes hand in hand with education and aids in the educational process

Our main market is schools, youth projects and local councils. We can market shows to schools specifically designed to meet national curriculum, PSE, or celebratory needs. We can also offer after school or lunch time classes to build upon their non-curriculum child development. To youth projects we can produce shows and workshops that are situation specific with a high degree of audience participation. This is especially useful to help with difficult subjects such as violence, alcohol, drugs, sex etc.

The arts/theatre industry is still sometimes seen as a luxury activity as stated in the Sir Gâr Carmarthen councils arts strategy. However we along with many local government bodies, schools etc, know that it is now more than that. It is now part of our society and with that comes growth and investments especially as it now also comes under cultural tourism in many counties. With the area being awarded the big lottery grant it means there is more available money to put into youth projects and development. Trends show that theatre and more importantly theatre for social and educational purposes is on the rise both in the short term and more importantly in the long term. I think that with the extra investment that is being provided by councils and grants there will be a rapid growth and once it is established as a social norm it will be here to stay. Our business plans to lead the way in the Wales area and promote youth and cultural theatre. We will use the extra funding to establish new customers and by providing a quality service ensure repeat bookings, and therefore a steady source of revenue.

The theatre industry is currently undergoing a period of growth and investment, in the Carmarthenshire county council arts strategy it states that large investments will be given to ensure the arts is properly funded in the county. The area’s youth projects had over £1million paid by the big lottery grants, this means there is more available money around at the moment than their was before December.

We have a few competitors in touring theatres and local companies however our lead competitors are located in Wrexham and the others are mainly located outside of Wales. This gives us a significant advantage in terms of location, and if presented with two similar productions at similar quality and cost most people will pick a local company. Secondly our main unique selling point is we devise pieces of theatre that are customer specific, and there is no other group that I am aware of that does this on such a big scale.

Gary Dennis and Nathan Dippie are the owners of the company, Nathan has a solid background in Health and safety and quality management and producing and performing in shows. Gary is an accomplished actor he trained in Theatre Studies BA at Trinity College and he has a huge passion for helping and developing people, especially the young. Between us we will do all operational and management tasks. If required we will employ freelance actors and hope to develop working relationships with the three main universities in our local to help aspiring actors gain necessary professional experience. We have a technical consultant Stephen Dennis (not related to Gary) who advises us on all technical aspects of the company.
